COVID-19 RELIEF FUND 2ND WAVE CALL FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS EXTENDED TO FRIDAY, 11TH SEPTEMBER 2020

Initially submission of applications for relief deadline was set for the 31 August 2020 and 2nd September respectively. It was then extended for the 9th September 2020 only to those who did not complete loading their on-line applications to finalise their application process. Second Wave Covid-19 Relief Funding

  Applications for the second wave of Covid-19 relief funding for athletes have opened and will close at the end on the final day of August‚ the sport‚ arts and culture minister Nathi Mthethwa announced in Pretoria on Monday. Athletes will have between August 18 to August 31 to apply and the maximum amount of relief available per applicant is set at R6‚600. Athletes who benefited from the previous funds do not qualify for the second wave. The minister said his department will be rolling-out two processes to implement sector relief. Applicants who are eligible to apply will include athletes‚ coaches‚ technical support personnel and freelance fitness instructors or practitioners. “These are applicants who rely solely on income generated from participating in sport competitions‚ events and in fitness activities‚ who operate as freelancers‚” said Mthethwa.   Dear Members, In view of the lack of competitions during the Covid 19 lockdown period, the DSA team has decided to allow riders to have the choice of either downgrading their horses one grade or upgrading them one grade whether they have points or not. This amnesty period will last from the 1st August 2020 until the 31st December 2020.
