SASCA RPL Process starting on Friday

SASCA RPL Process starting on Friday

Dear Coaches

We have been communicating with you with regards the new Professional Body for Sports Coaching “SASCA”  (SA Sports Coaching Association).

This a member community of professional sports coaches from the nine sports coaching designations from apprentice sports coach to master coach and from the coach developer stream, from assistant provincial coach developer to National coach education advisor. SASCA is part of an international network representing the interests of sports coaches worldwide and is represented at the International Council of Coaching Excellence (ICCE). As part of this international network, SASCA upholds and supports the fundamental tenets of the sports coaching profession – the Code of Ethics, sports coaching charter and the International Standards for the professional practice of sports coaching.

Please go to their website – www.sasca-pb.co.za – and familiarise yourself with the organisation as well as their coaching career path.

We have just been notified by SAEF that SASCA is proceeding with the RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) Process for equestrian (and cricket) coaches.

Should you wish to get your SASCA designation, please register on the SASCA website by Friday 22 May.

The SASCA website takes you through the registration process. When registering membership with RPL, you only need to pay R970. Only once you have your designation you will need to pay the R600 SASCA membership fee.

For any further clarification with regards the RPL process, please contact the SAEF Lead Coach Rosemarie Bartlett at leadcoachsaef@saef.org.za or via Whatsapp 072 247 2929
