SAEF Guidelines and protocols for training and competitions
The SAEF welcomes the confirmation from the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture that Equestrian Sport may go back to training and the hosting of shows and events.
The SAEF, our Discipline Associations, Provincial Federations, Clubs and Members wish to thank the Minister, Min Nathi Mthethwa, the Director General, Ms Sumayya Khan and their team for their commitment to assisting us with our submission.
Equestrian sport acknowledges and recognises that the safety of human life is of paramount importance. It is with this in mind that the SAEF developed a robust system of protocols in line with Government Regulations and Guidelines. With the re-commencement of Equestrian activities, the main focus will be on social distancing and the wearing of masks, in order to protect the health and safety of all riders, officials, staff and other individuals .
We request our members to familiarise themselves with content of the latest Government Gazette as well as our SAEF guidelines for training and shows. (See buttons below)
The SAEF would like to say a big thank you to all of you for your support, patience and understanding during this difficult time and we trust that you will enjoy the resumption of Equestrian Sport in our beautiful country.
Kind regards
The SAEF Team
